Hello! My name is Sydney (Syd) Coblentz. I am a recent graduate from Indiana University - South Bend, where I obtained both my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work, along with a minor in Women and Gender Studies.

I am passionate about working with individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and able to show up exactly as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel both supported and gently challenged as you grow.

My experience includes working in a hospital setting on pediatric and PICU floors, as well as in a grief center with children and families. I primarily work with individuals ages 8 and older, including adolescents and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, OCD, and life transitions. These experiences have shaped my ability to sit with people in both crisis and everyday struggles, and to meet them with empathy, patience, and understanding.

I have a special interest in working with individuals navigating grief and life transitions. I understand that loss isn’t limited to death. It can show up in many forms, including changes in identity, relationships, or life roles. I strive to create a space where clients can process these experiences at their own pace, while honoring both the pain of what’s been lost and the possibility of moving forward.

I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based approach, tailoring therapy to meet your unique needs and goals. My style is warm, authentic, collaborative and down to earth; I believe that therapy works best when you feel genuinely connected and heard. I’ll meet you where you are and help you feel empowered to grow.

Whether you’re navigating loss, feeling overwhelmed, exploring your identity, or just need a space to talk things through, I’m here to support you. If that support means dancing, crying, laughing or anything in between, then I am happy to do it with you. We do things at your pace, and in a way that feels right for you.
