New Year New Deductible

As we jump into the new year, it's important to be aware that most of us will have our health insurance deductible and out-of-pocket maximum reset on January 1st.

This means that any expenses we have incurred towards meeting our deductible or out-of-pocket maximum last year will no longer count towards meeting those thresholds in 2024.

For those unfamiliar with these terms, a deductible is the amount of money you must pay out-of-pocket before your health insurance begins to cover the costs of your medical treatment. This coverage after you meet the deductible may be in the form of coinsurance (percentages covered by your insurer) or copays (flat $ amounts). An out-of-pocket maximum (OOPM) is the maximum amount of money you will have to pay out-of-pocket before your health insurance covers all of your medical costs for the year.

Please check with your insurance company if you have any questions about your deductibles or copays. Make sure our office has up to date information and insurance cards along with a valid credit card to keep on file for copays.

If you are unable to make full payment at this time, please contact our office at (574) 651-8912 Option 0 to discuss a mutually acceptable payment arrangement.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation regarding this matter. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance.
