Mission Statement

Cornerstone Family Therapy is committed to providing compassionate individualized mental health care to our clients by meeting every individual where they are. Our therapists use evidence-based practices to empower clients to meet their goals. We pride ourselves on being experts in the mental health field to provide exceptional, client-centered, care to the Michiana community.

Vision

To build thriving and resilient communities that are able to access mental health services, tools, and support—without fear or stigma. We strive to help clients expand their inner strengths and skills to work toward improved emotional health and well-being.

Core Values

Authenticity

To show up with authenticity.

“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are. Choosing authenticity means cultivating the courage to be imperfect, to set boundaries, and to allow ourselves to be vulnerable; exercising the compassion that comes from knowing that we are all made of strength and struggle; and nurturing the connection and sense of belonging that can only happen when we believe that we are enough.” Brené Brown

Integrity

We strive to demonstrate honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior in all actions and decisions. We believe that integrity fosters trust with each other, with our clients, and in our dealings with others.

"Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching." C.S. Lewis

Compassion

We treat every individual who walks through our doors with empathy, caring, and loving kindness.

Collaborative Care

Effective mental health interventions always involve good collaboration between clinicians and clients. We value a team approach here at Cornerstone Family Therapy, as well as in our relationships with each other. "Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much." Helen Keller

Non-Judgmental

"Open minded people do not impose their beliefs on others. They just accept all of life's perspectives and realities and do their own thing in peace." Unknown

Client Centered Individualized Care

We respect each individual’s right to make their own choices regarding treatment options, goals and life direction without the belief that we alone have the ability to “fix” or change them. "It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried." Carl Rogers
