Hi, I’m Katelyn. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Indiana, and I earned my Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University South Bend. I’m deeply passionate about creating a space where people feel safe, seen, and accepted exactly as they are. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s especially important to me that my work is grounded in inclusivity and that my office feels affirming for everyone who walks through the door.

Much of my experience has been working with individuals navigating addiction, substance use, trauma, and mental health crises. At the same time, I truly value working with people from all walks of life and across all age groups. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and tailored to you, which is why I take a person-centered approach and meet you where you are.

I often incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into my work especially distress tolerance and radical acceptance to help clients manage overwhelming emotions, build resilience, and feel more grounded in their day to day lives. My goal is to support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself, healing at your own pace, and finding realistic, meaningful ways to move forward.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the nonprofit field and as a nanny roles that reflect a lifelong commitment to compassion and caring for others. Supporting people has always been at the heart of what I do, and I feel genuinely honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate growth and change. I strive to bring warmth, patience, authenticity, and a trauma informed lens into every session, always respecting your pace and your story.

Outside of work, I enjoy painting and spending time with my partner and family. I also share my home with a group of beloved fur babies I’m equally a cat and dog person and truly appreciate the comfort and joy animals can bring.
