Hi, I’m Cameron Younkin (She/her). I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. My professional background includes work in inpatient mental health and substance use treatment settings, where I have provided individual therapy, facilitated groups, and supported clients through case management.

My work is grounded in compassion, honesty, empathy, and a deeply person-centered approach. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own experience, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, authenticity, and respect. I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to be vulnerable, and empowered enough to grow. I also strongly value resilience—the belief that even in the face of adversity, people have the capacity to heal, adapt, and move forward.

I work with a wide range of clients and particularly enjoy supporting neurodivergent individuals and young adults. My clinical interests include anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. I take an integrative approach to therapy, frequently drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I tailor interventions to each person’s unique needs while helping clients build practical, sustainable skills they can use in everyday life.

On a personal note, I’m married to someone who also works in the mental health field, and we share our home with three dogs and two cats. My own experiences navigating family challenges, control patterns, self-worth struggles, and sleep difficulties allow me to approach my work with empathy and authenticity. I strive to practice the same skills and strategies I encourage in my clients, believing that growth is a shared, ongoing process.
