I am excited to be joining Cornerstone Family Therapy! I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University in August 2023 and am currently a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) working toward my Clinical Social Work licensure (LCSW).

Before entering the field of mental health, I spent many years as an educator across several school districts, from Goshen to South Bend. I have worked with children in various capacities for over 30 years and especially enjoy working with children and adolescents ages 2 through 18.

My approach with children is child-centered and non-directive. While I am not yet a registered play therapist, I have received focused training in the child-centered play therapy model. I believe that both children and adults inherently want to be regulated and do well—and that, when given a safe and supportive environment, children naturally know how to process and work through their challenges.

I have also completed training in sandtray therapy with both children and adults. Sandtray is a powerful and expressive modality that often brings subconscious thoughts and emotions into conscious awareness, offering clients a unique path to healing.

I am particularly passionate about supporting children and women of all ages in healing from trauma. I strive to practice in a trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive way. I’ve studied Internal Family Systems (IFS) and ego state therapy and plan to pursue certification in these approaches, along with EMDR, as part of my continued professional development.

More than any specific technique, I believe the most important element in therapy is the relationship itself. Research supports this, and I view the therapeutic connection as a sacred honor. It is my privilege to walk alongside you and your family during life’s challenges and to be part of your healing journey.

Thank you for considering me. I look forward to working with you at Cornerstone Family Therapy.
